Pomegranate pie

Sundays are for baking and for pies. Another recipe made with pomegranate, maybe now you understand why I call myself @_pommegranate ;)

Let me share with you the easiest recipe to bake this pie, it won´t take you more than 30 minutes.

Tools I used:

  • a bowl
  • 2 small ceramic tart dishes
  • an oven

Ingredients:

  • 2 shop-bought pastry, 275 g each (no time for a homemade one)
  • 2 big pomegranates
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch of organic vanilla powder
  • 1 tsp sugar (just for one pie), I made the other one sugar free
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar

Preparation:

  • Preheat oven 10 Min. at 225°C
  • Carefully place the crust into the two pie plates and trim the edges
  • seed the two pomegranates in a bowl
  • After that, add into the bowl the other ingredients (except the powdered sugar) and combine them with the seeds
  • Add the mixture to the tarts
  • Cut the leftover dough into small strips
  • Using the dough strips, form a lattice pattern on the top
  • Bake at 200-225°C until it begins to color around the edges
  • Bake for 20 minutes, or until pie is golden brown
  • Sprinkle a little sugar over the pies if you wish
